C-TEC CAST-PRO and XFP Fire Alarm Training

CAST-PRO, C-TEC’s powerful range of combined fire detectors, sounders and VADs, is now supported on C-TEC’s XFP range of fire panels. RSPL will be holding a CAST-PRO and XFP training course at our premises in Drumcondra, Dublin on Tuesday the 15th of April 2025 and we are inviting you to attend.

The decision to make the feature-packed CAST-PRO devices compatible with C-TEC’s best-selling range of 1-2 loop addressable fire panels brings quality fire detection and alarm annunciation into the mainstream.

With heat, smoke, and CO fire detection, plus a tone or voice sounder and VAD in one multi-certified device, CAST-PRO is very affordable. Additional cost saving features include one wiring point instead of two, auto-addressing, common bases across the range, and more.

Course Content

The course will consist of two modules.

Module 1 will provide an overview of C-TEC’s CAST fire alarm protocol and the various devices in the CAST range, as well as an overview of the XFP fire alarm panel. 

Module 2 will cover planning and designing a CAST / XFP system including installation, wiring, programming and commissioning.  The module will conclude with a test exercise.

It is important to note that Module 2 is a hands-on session and all attendees will need to bring a laptop PC running Windows XP or above to the course.

The course is free of charge but a deposit of €100 per person is required to reserve a place. The deposit is payable once a booking is confirmed. The deposit will be refunded to people who attend the training course. The deposit will not be refunded to people who fail to attend the training course.
