Yes, when used according to its intended use. The fog is non-toxic, and compliant with European regulations.

Can UR FOG be used where food is produced, processed or sold?
Yes, there are food grade versions of the fog available that can be used in areas where food is produced, processed or sold.

Will the fog damage my premises or equipment?
No. The fog leaves zero residue and is safe for people, animals, and property.

What room sizes can be covered using the UR FOG system?
The Modular Series of UR Fog systems can fill rooms up to 800 m³ with fog, reducing visibility to less than 1 metre. Different models are available to suit spaces from small offices to large warehouses.

How long does it take to fill a room?
This depends on the model being used and the size of the room. Some examples are given below for the time taken for
different models to fill different spaces with fog that reduces visibility to less than 1 metre.

Will the fog set off my fire alarm?
It will activate smoke detectors. Options to prevent false fire alarms include:
• Connect the fog trigger output of the fog system to an input on the fire alarm panel. The panel input can be programmed
to send a “Fog Machine Triggered” message to the monitoring station.
• Notify the monitoring station that if “ Fog Machine Triggered” alarm is received, please ignore the Fire Alarm Activation

Are there any safety notes I should be aware of?
• Use only UR FOG branded fluids. Unauthorised fluids are strictly prohibited.
• Limit prolonged exposure to the fog. Inform anyone with allergies before activation.
• Nozzle caution: The nozzle becomes extremely hot—do not touch it. Do not look directly at the nozzle.
• Intended use only: Do not use the fog machine for purposes other than intruder protection.
• Avoid using on building escape routes, particularly in multi-storey buildings. Consider voice warnings during fog
deployment.
• Protect from water: Keep the machine away from moisture and water exposure.

What maintenance is required, and how often?
UR FOG systems require very little maintenance. A routine check is recommended once a year to ensure the device, fluid level, and battery backup (if applicable) are in good condition. The fog fluid bag should be replaced when empty, and the nozzle and internal components can be inspected during the annual service.

Can UR FOG be integrated with any alarm system?
Yes. UR FOG devices are designed for easy integration with virtually any alarm or security system. They can be triggered via a
standard relay output, alarm panel signal, or remote control, allowing seamless operation within existing setups.

How many activations can one fluid bag provide?
The number of activations depends on the model and the size of the area being protected. On average, a single fluid bag can deliver multiple discharges, as each activation typically uses only part of the available fog. The exact number varies based on the room volume and fog density required for each event.

Can multiple units be synchronised for larger spaces?
Yes. UR FOG systems can be easily networked or synchronised to activate simultaneously or in sequence, ensuring complete and uniform coverage in larger or multi-room environments.

The fogging machine can be fitted with a HKC RF-FOG module, which allows it to connect wirelessly to the HKC SW-10270 intruder alarm panel using HKC SecureWave two-way wireless technology. This provides reliable, encrypted communication without the need for additional cabling.

How is the fogging system activated from the HKC SW-10270 intruder alarm panel?
The fogging system can be configured to activate on the following events:
1. Alarm
2. Confirmed Alarm
3. Panic
Activation is fully programmable within the HKC SW-10270 system.

Can the amount of fog released be configured?
Yes. Different fog activation times can be set for Alarm events and Panic events, allowing control over the amount of fog released in each scenario.

Is the fogging machine monitored by the HKC SW-10270?
Yes. The HKC SW-10270 continuously monitors the following fogging machine statuses:
1. Mains power present
2. Battery status
3. Tamper condition
4. Fog fluid level
Any faults or issues are reported back to the alarm panel.
